The layout equipment kit is used for all layout, measurement, and reference tasks such as setting up string lines, popping chalk lines, and hanging z-brackets. It is also used to level the frames and to make sure all columns are plumb. The kit should include the following as a minimum: one 4' level, one plumb bob with string, fifty z-brackets, one 100' tape measure, one flashlight, one string line, one string line level, one stud finder, one 100' chalk line, one 25' measuring tape, and a pencil (or marker).
