Bolts are used when you have access to both sides of the connection. As a minimum, the following bolts and hardware seen below should be included: ¼" x 2½" x 20 bolts, ¼" x 1¾" x 20 bolts, ¼" x 1" x 20 bolts, ¼" vinyl lock nuts (or standard ¼" nuts with lock washers), 5/16" i/d. x ¾" o/d. x 1/16" flat washers. In addition to the hardware listed, it is recommended to keep several lengths of ¼" x 20" threaded rod for through-bolted wall connections. The same nuts and washers can be used with the threaded rod.
